Edition:

The panel is uncradled, flat and stable, and bevelled on all four sides. The paint surface is clean, with a slightly discoloured, quite shiny and uneven varnish. There is a spot of discoloured retouching in the background, centre, approx. 1.5 x 1.5 cm., and another area surrounding the top of the tall glass. Other small areas of retouching surround the vine leaves, which apparently correspond to other leaves that have been painted out. These are confirmed under ultraviolet light, underneath which further fine lines and small spots of retouching are revealed along the right and lower margins, and in the folds of the white drapery. In overall fairly good condition.
